Alex Reinhart is a statistics instructor and PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University. He received his BS in physics at the University of Texas at Austin and does research on locating radioactive devices using statistics and physics.

翻譯極為差近，遍布統計理解錯誤和基本英文文句理解錯誤，而且又喜歡自作主張增添文句或減少文句，名詞翻譯前後也不統一，光是　power 就有功效和勢（忘了有無檢定力）這樣不一致的翻譯，多人翻譯是ok的，但是掛譯者名的那位教授請統整好翻譯文句，也必須對全書譯文負責。諷刺...

心理學關於replication的crisis一定程度上揭露瞭一部分學者統計上“耍小聰明”（p-hacking），但是學界各大期刊接收的標準，又被publication bias左右，publication又被視為學術職稱的評價標準，這就是個無解的局瞭。簡而言之，單個研究的結果，基本上都是要打摺的，要能survive replication以及meta-analysis纔能算結論比較可信。對我而言這書的觀點不算新瞭，之前的naked statistics，7 pillars of statistics，how to lie 係列都有一樣的觀點。

去肥城的路上，坐我旁邊的帥帥白哥哥用他看瞭半路的小說拍死瞭我座椅上的一直bug，然後我問他藉瞭這本書，看瞭半路，雖然對學渣的我的thesis並沒有什麼卵用，但還是初階漲姿勢好書，doing statistic right before doing it right

看名字就知道哪些書是我痛下決心買瞭實體的。（字體設計真的太爛瞭。/開始特彆恐慌，因為都是phd student 他在寫書我在看他寫的書。但是看完覺得還好，隻是一個side project 的規模和水準，基本也沒有作者太多一綫經驗。不過人傢對統計學的理解確實很不錯。
