一個渣男坑瞭未婚妻和戀人的故事…作為1956年的刻畫同性愛情小說，基調毫無意外的壓抑悲觀充斥著掙紮，一切朝著開篇就透露的悲劇結局開展。但敢於在那個年代刻畫邊緣群體的故事，並且完成度這麼高，與他作為黑人的身份是分不開，相信他其他刻畫種族關係的小說會更加精彩。

文筆犀利 環境氛圍描寫得令人身臨其境 舊時的巴黎很有魅力 可惜書裏的人物都好似有些扭麯 有很多精彩的有時深刻有時俏皮的描寫 有空瞭選幾個

結尾還是很棒的。第87頁描寫Giovanni房間髒亂的那段很精彩。但David的渣屬性實在讓我有點想vomit。
