Very much like Death of a Salesman, with conflicts between fathers and sons. While Miller talks about the disillusion of the American dream of white working class, Wilson focuses on the black.
评分紧跟着A Raisin in the Sun和Dutchman读的，相较之下并没有什么震撼人心的人物冲突。我比较纳闷Lyons真的回来还钱了，Gabriel "dances Troy's soul into heaven"。但的确值得肯定的是，Troy's life is celebrated, a thing of rough and rugged beauty, demanding our attention to respect.
评分It's a great book to know about African American culture. The language is so authentic.
评分Very detailed, innovative and thought-provoking depictions of father-son and husband-wife relationships.Maybe fathers are always like shadows in the hearts of sons, but they mean to do more good than to do harm.
评分CSP 13。读的第一本全部黑人英语的书，一开始不太适应，到act 2就比较顺了。作者以前果然是写诗的，歌词和开头的诗都很赞。剧本身探讨的是1960年左右的黑人的美国梦。普利策奖嘛。不过其实我很怀疑有些点主题的句子从这些角色嘴里说出来会不会很怪异，尤其是长篇的那些。。
