一百年前的科幻小说评论别那么苛刻好吧

考虑到这是一本在计算机／网络时代前写成的书，其中很多对科技，特别是信息交流方式的预测很接近当前的发展，厉害。因技术进步的加成，我从前下意识认为新时代的人总比前人高明，渐渐发觉这是想当然。相比科技，人本身和观念的进步可是缓慢得多。书中有一段提到“宗教”再次被引入，“神明”则是机器，我既觉得荒谬——迷信与科技可说是背道而驰——又不得不承认，这很人性，像卡拉马佐夫兄弟里所写： > 人们最坚持不懈而又劳神费心的努力，莫过于身为自由人便忙着寻找该对之顶礼膜拜的那个人。< 阿瑟克拉克的《神的九十亿个名字》里，僧人用马达驱动转经筒。哈哈，这很人类!

第一次读到时也吓了一跳，EM Forster竟然还写过科幻。向来觉得这位作家就是文笔清新优美隽永，没想到写起科幻来也一样。
