A basic problem in computer vision is to understand the structure of a real world scene given several images of it. Techniques for solving this problem are taken from projective geometry and photogrammetry. Here, the authors cover the geometric principles and their algebraic representation in terms of camera projection matrices, the fundamental matrix and the trifocal tensor. The theory and methods of computation of these entities are discussed with real examples, as is their use in the reconstruction of scenes from multiple images. The new edition features an extended introduction covering the key ideas in the book (which itself has been updated with additional examples and appendices) and significant new results which have appeared since the first edition. Comprehensive background material is provided, so readers familiar with linear algebra and basic numerical methods can understand the projective geometry and estimation algorithms presented, and implement the algorithms directly from the book.

斷斷續續看瞭三個月，點麵兼顧，尤其是從conic的角度來看各種reconstruction問題，看起來更加直觀簡潔。不過我還是喜歡馬毅的那本書。

其实一直很想读一读Hartley的这个书，可惜国内没有。申请ANU的CV组失败了，很沮丧，网站上看Hartley还是蛮和善的一个老头（不好意思，这么说他）。有没有能力不是问题，能不能做到才是关键。教授的个人网址：http://users.rsise.anu.edu.au/~hartley/

超级棒的一本书，尤其是偏几何方向的CVer，必读书目。本人最近在读中，并且每周在组会上做一章的presentation ，收获颇丰~~ 通读全书，基本需要2-3个月的时间。读后，会对基本的视觉几何有一个理论上的基础认识。同时结合一些最新的CVPR，ICCV，ECCV的文章，会有比较大的收获...

从九月份到今天，断断续总算是看完了一遍。看完PART 1的最大感觉是激动，第一次体会到线性代数或矩阵论的用处，还有数学推导的享受，每一步既符合数学抽象概念里面的约束，结果又具有比较明确的几何解释及物理含义，十分享受。现在，深度学习是计算机视觉里面的另一个重要工...

本书是计算机视觉中geometry方向的基础书，总结了20年来的200多篇ICCV,ECCV,CVPR上面有关多视觉几何相关文献，做calibration的同学必看此书。几乎只要学过线性代数，就可以开始看此书。不过书中也有一些问题比较tricky~ 大概花了3个月读完此书，略有所得，不过也有很多问题尚...
