The godgame is above all an analogue of fiction. The novel while foregrounding the motif of 'freedom' in the sense discussed by the french existentialists, seems to criticise the Satrean notion of 'absolute freedom'. Overall, the novel retains its ambiguities by carefully orchestrating to confound and rejecting closure in the realistic tradition.

评分我天，太难看了，看完简直想扔书或者狠狠的揍作者一顿，完全不知道要讲什么。这种也能评价这么高。完全没体会到里面有任何真情实意，所有的感情都很假很空泛。情节为了发展而发展，莫名其妙，毫无逻辑。人物塑造也很诡异。
