作者简介
阿瑟·高顿（Arthur Golden），生于美国田纳西州查塔努加（Chattanooga），本科毕业于哈佛大学艺术史系，专攻日本艺术。1980年，获哥伦比亚大学日本史硕士学位，兼修中文。在北京大学进修一个夏季之后，他到东京工作。回到美国后他在波士顿大学获英文硕士学位。目前他与妻子和两个孩子定居马萨诸塞州布鲁克林。《艺伎回忆录》是其发表的第一部长篇小说。

评分My previous prejudice was discarded. A geisha's life was far beyond the struggles and truimphs. They at last made peace with strong emotions. Immersed in an enthralling world, I was impressed by the depiction of elegantly designed kimonos and taken back by the bid for virginity.

评分电影刚出来的时候看的电影。前两天偶尔淘到了书，抽着挤着时间读完了。描述手法不错，不过一到细节描写，英文就没有中文丰富。硬伤。
