加西亞•馬爾剋斯（Gabriel García Márquez）

1927年齣生於哥倫比亞馬格達萊納海濱小鎮阿拉卡塔卡。童年與外祖父母一起生活。1936年隨父母遷居蘇剋雷。1947年考入波哥大國立大學。1948年因內戰輟學，進入報界。五十年代開始齣版文學作品。六十年代初移居墨西哥。1967年《百年孤獨》問世。1982年獲諾貝爾文學奬。1985年齣版《霍亂時期的愛情》。

膜拜，作者筆力太強瞭，相比之下覺得幾天前看的Gatsby都有點小兒科。英譯本也算是很好地保持瞭文字的原貌。Romantic without being sentimental, detailed without being trivial, and sensual without being vulgar.

And before you know it, your heart is worn out, and as for your body, there comes a point when no one looks at it, much less wants to come near it. / 至於「And how long do you think we can keep up this goddamn coming and going? Forever.」大概是整世紀最看似波瀾不驚卻裝逼的 ending（笑

馬爾剋斯的文字功夫真的很強。一開始看似沒有關聯的人物就這樣都串起來瞭，而且每一個人物都描繪得很鮮明。沒有《百年孤獨》的魔幻現實主義，但是卻充滿瞭情色和浪漫主義。沒有《百年孤獨》的磁力，但是看進去瞭還是很好看。
