我认为怀尔德的《圣路易雷桥》是一本探讨“爱”的小说，由这个“爱”的主题通向对“生”的意义的诘问。小说涉及到母女之爱，兄弟之爱，老师和学生之爱，而恰恰没有讨论我们现在广而言之的“爱情”。怀尔德对这些”爱“的刻画具有一种让人痛彻心肺的力量，绝不亚于一次“失恋”...

What a natural story teller!!! 刚读完两小章，我觉得Thornton Wilder简直是讲故事的高手，看似平淡无奇的开头，娓娓道来的情节，易被猜破的结局，但是读完很难不让人深思。上帝又或者某种超自然力量是否真的存在？这个故事让我想起了貌似是Robert Frost写的一首名叫Design的...
