Mark Johnson is the Knight Professor of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Oregon. He is the author of The Body in the Mind and Moral Imagination, both published by the University of Chicago Press. Johnson and Lakoff have also coauthored Philosophy in the Flesh: The Embodied Mind and its Challenge to Western Thought.

评分根據這個理論寫的語法書應該會相當好看。不過八卦說Lakoff本人是那種一旦認定自己是對的，就會火力全開橫掃一切異見者。其實我覺得Generative linguistic這個理論本身也挺有趣的呢。
评分某日l正與夫人嘿咻，忽然夫人大叫一聲：爽上天也~~，l忽然意識到，這是一個隱喻。以形而上的天堂幸福感來隱喻形而下的嘿咻，豈非是一個域嚮另一個域的投射？而這種in-out的運動，不正說明瞭人體的容器特徵，早上喝瞭一杯咖啡，一會便排齣來，這不也體現瞭人體的容器特徵。。。。考慮著這些問題，忽然L他high瞭——high，哦，這又是一個隱喻。在high的時候，他發射瞭——發射，這又是一個隱喻啊，把jy比作子彈。。。沒有這些隱喻，就不會産生下一代啊，所以該書被命名為“我們賴以生存的隱喻”。該活動如同阿基米德在浴缸裏
评分教授雖然給書起瞭個比較俏皮的名字，Metaphors we live by。（中譯版為《我們賴以生存的隱喻》，浙江大學齣版社。雖然有優秀的漢譯，但因為涉及到的分析以英語為基礎，原著不能錯過）實則是一本野心勃勃力圖從語言入手進而解構人的概念化方法的書。對語言學感興趣的同學不容錯過。
