Jeffry Frieden is Stanfield Professor of International Peace. He specializes in the politics of international monetary and financial relations. Frieden is the author of Global Capitalism: Its Fall and Rise in the Twentieth Century (2006); of Debt, Development, and Democracy: Modern Political Economy and Latin America, 1965-1985 (1991); and of Banking on the World: The Politics of American International Finance (1987). Among other publications, he is the coeditor (with Ernesto Stein) of Currency Games: Exchange Rate Politics in Latin America (2001); (with Barry Eichengreen) of Forging an Integrated Europe (1998); and (with David Lake) of International Political Economy: Perspectives on Global Power and Wealth, Fourth Edition (2000).

David A. Lake is the Jerri-Ann and Gary E. Jacobs Professor of Social Sciences and Distinguished Professor of Political Science at the University of California, San Diego. He has published widely in international relations theory and international political economy. Lake's most recent book is Hierarchy in International Relations (2009). In addition to over seventy scholarly articles and chapters, he is the author of Power, Protection, and Free Trade: International Sources of U.S. Commercial Strategy, 1887-1939 (1988) and Entangling Relations: American Foreign Policy in its Century (1999) and co-editor of eight volumes including Governance in a Global Economy: Political Authority in Transition (2003) and Delegation and Agency in International Organizations (2006).
