為瞭符閤當時英國上流公館管傢的語言習慣，文字繞得一塌糊塗，Stevens的性格也非常不討好，當然，這本小說並不是為瞭讓讀者喜歡主角而讀的，但帶著這種恨其不爭的情緒去讀，很難引起共鳴。

As i would define every book i have read which was written by Kazuo，a portrait of guilt and pride.despite the topic of professional and amateur ，the most decent part is still about unclarity of memory，confession and self redemption.Stevens is after all a man of dignity，no matter what mindless loyalty he has given.i do love the couple flirting.
