评分Cogito, Ergo Sum: the sledgehammer discovery of self-consciousness that kicks start modern philosophy. But the lack of development in terms of the "first unmovable point" is what causes Descartes his loop and the use of God to keep his theory funtionable. One must not forget his contribution in mathematics as the discoverer of Coordinate geometry.
