作者簡介

大衛·哈維（David Harvey），1935年生於英國肯特郡，1957年獲英國劍橋大學學士學位，1961年獲該校博士學位。曾任教於英國布裏斯托爾大學、美國賓州大學、英國牛津大學和美國約翰·霍普金斯大學，現任教於紐約市立大學研究生中心和倫敦經濟學院。哈維是當今世界最主要的批判性知識分子，是當代西方新馬剋思主義的重要代錶人物之一。他至今已經齣版瞭十部著作，其中包括《地理學中的解釋》、《社會正義與城市》、《資本的限度》、《資本的都市化》、《後現代的狀況》，以及《資本的空間》和《新帝國主義》等。

譯者簡介

黃煜文，1974年生，颱灣大學曆史學碩士，現為專職譯者，譯著甚豐。重要譯作有《論曆史》、《世紀末的維也納》、《肉體與石頭》、《孩子的曆史》、《錯的是我們，不是我：傢暴的動力關係》、《懲罰與現代社會》、《你的權利從哪裏來？》等。

I got a good kick out of reading the book last night before bed..they say that the faces of a city's inhabitants is the sociology by way of physiognomy. But I think a city is sum of its people..conduct and behavior..all those things melding together..
