Coming of age is never easy. It is especially difficult for young Thomas, son of an acclaimed and beloved knight. He has more questions than answers about the past. No one wants to tell him the circumstances surrounding the death of his mother and sister, the mysterious summons his father receives from the King of Noruff, and the mournful sounds that drift down from the mountains beyond Tangled Woods. When the kingdom of Noruff is threatened from a dark Prince of a southern kingdom and an ancient dragon from the north, Thomas must find a way to protect all that he loves.
