it's surprisingly hard to read in the sense that it's constructed loose. That is, it's a poet's work that I read as philosophy. it's relation to Kant is intricate. It's of my judgement that Schiller's theory is more provisional than his own treatment of it. In other words, it has a tension which goes beyond the fine art in his conception.

剑和刷 ————席勒和鲁迅 近读席勒《审美教育书简》（北京大学出版社1985版 冯至/范大灿译），此书由27封信组成，是写给资助他的丹麦奥古斯腾堡公爵的，但是译者觉得信里只论述了“溶解性的美”没有论述“振奋性的美”，所以又附上了他的《论崇高》一文。关于内容我就不说...  

1.美是要在自然对人的先天局限中先完成统一，就是说①承认物质，否则人无以立；②追求美，否则人将溺于物质中，被广大的自然拖行。要“美”来强力统一两种人的天性：懒散的堕落&粗野的冲动。 2. 而在27封信之外，另附《论崇高》。就是点明即使一切顺利，人们追求美而又能...  

总的来说，席勒在这本书中阐述的最多的原理就是“感性冲动”与“形式冲动”。单纯的从哲学上来说，就是所谓事物的内外因。即物质上的和精神上的。 席勒以高度抽象的解释方法解释了一种所谓的“和谐美”。从人、神、以及自然精神等方面阐述了这种美。抽象的人格就是字我、绝对...  

终于读完了！！！???? 不得不说这是一次烧脑的艰难之旅。两百多年了，这个写了《阴谋与爱情》的席勒，一度曾参与，后来因为害怕法国的政治暴力，陷入到康德的唯心主义中，研究美学，试图通过美恢复像古希腊那样人性的和谐统一，实现内心真正的自由，达到理想的和谐的社会。……...
