Spirited U.S. Fish and Wildlife agent Rachel Porter is back - and this time she's investigating the an illegal reptile breeding ring in Hawaii When Rachel Porter is suddenly reassigned to the Hawaii branch of the Fish and Wildlife office, she has to admit, things could be worse. While it's been pretty quiet since she arrived - not exactly fulfilling Rachel's appetite for action and excitement - living steps away from the crystal blue waters on one of the most beautiful islands on earth has its up sides as well. Soon Rachel begins to think that a life of sand, surfing, and drinking cocktails on the beach might be something she could get used to. But while Hawaii is known for its tranquility and natural splendour, Rachel soon finds out that things aren't as perfect as they first appear. She stumbles upon a group that's using the tropical paradise as its own personal breeding ground for rare, reptiles that fetch a hefty premium on the mainland. And when a dead body washes up on shore, apparently the victim of a savage shark attack, Rachel has a nagging feeling that things aren't adding up. Something smells fishy, and the always tenacious Rachel won't stop until she reels in the killer - and makes the island safe for humans and other 'endangered' species as well.
