看的kindle版，相当长。形式是比通常口述历史更散一点的“一人一句”，顺着9·11当天的时间顺序由各方讲述自己的经历（作者对双子塔幸存者采访的那一part中看到了好多两家友商的员工）。由于是口述体，整个文风都很具有感官性，比如大家对早上天气的描述、大楼倒塌之后漫天纸屑的末日感、空气中弥漫着的气味等等。
