<p>To present a second edition of our intercultural communication reader is pleasing to us in a variety of ways. Pleasure obviously comes from knowing that the first edition was successful, warranting a second edition. It also comes from receiving and utilizing the helpful suggestions of many who used the original edition and from the knowledge that the intercultural communication field is viable and growing.</p>
