Borrowed it from the school library and have been reading it for exactly 3 months which coincides with the maximum time for which I can keep the book. The process of reading it was indeed like an adventure. It taught me so much, and dispelled for me the mist over those subjects who have seemingly esoteric names - structualism or phenomenology.
评分The author's elaborations of schools and methods in Literary Theory are definitely lucid and even comprehensive, while his verbosity and convolution, which obviously peak in the Conclusion, impair the readability of the book a lot, even to the extent that the Afterwords was simply ignored by me...233
