著者簡介
Elizabeth Strout is the author of several novels, including: Abide with Me, a national bestseller and BookSense pick, and Amy and Isabelle, which won the Los Angeles Times Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction and the Chicago Tribune Heartland Prize, and was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award and the Orange Prize in England. In 2009 she was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for her book Olive Kitteridge. Her short stories have been published in a number of magazines, including The New Yorker. She teaches at the Master of Fine Arts program at Queens University of Charlotte.

充滿瞭中老年人的黑色幽默，一開始看得笑齣聲，但越來越笑不齣來，漸漸老去，越來越多的悲哀和孤獨。i'm getting closer and I get it, feeling sad.
评分一本極美的小說，有關年長以後每個人必須麵對的孤獨、疾病、死亡、分離。Olive不是一個多討人喜歡的老人，但她在這本書中的經曆足以讓讀者感受到生命的美好與脆弱的共存。
