For this reason, House of the Dead is certainly the least Dostoevskian of his works, yet, paradoxically, it ranks among his great masterpieces. 我喜欢他用自嘲和讽刺描写乐趣和苦难。十年监狱的生活能磨平一个人，能建起不能逃脱的围墙，当然也有压不住自由飞翔的雄鹰的时候。但是他拥有更为不同的特质：观察，不断地观察，在封闭中看到自由，在肮脏中窥视洁净，在罪恶中一觑善良；记录，缓慢地记录，将封闭和自由、肮脏...
