Sex is everywhere in the modern world. But why is it so important to who we are? What shapes our sexuality and how does our sexuality shape us. What impact have feminism, religion, and HIV/AIDS had on our attitudes to sex?

作者简介

Veronique Mottier is Fellow and Director of Studies in Social and Political Science at Jesus College, Cambridge, and Professor of Sociology at the University of of Lausanne. Her research interests include the politics of sexuality and gender, theories of the state, feminist political philosophy and discourse analysis, and she has published widely in these areas. Her previous books include Politics of Sexuality: Identity, Gender, Citizenship (co-edited with Terrell Carver, 2006).

前阵子好像有女权的话题讨论？正好看到了这么本书。比较简短，按时间顺序，囊括了西方各种关于sexuality的重要观点，也介绍了从古代到现代西方sexuality相关理论和实践活动的发展。前面讲古希腊古罗马基督教神马的，历史为主，还是比较好懂的。开始讲到女权主义了，复杂程度就起来了。再加上LGBT啊Aids啊政治啊等和sexuality有关的问题，再加上各团体内部和之间的矛盾，就有些晕掉鸟…通读未精读，感觉不少point还是没get到，不过还是非常开眼的。
