她從容的踏進教室，上心理學的教授下巴差點掉下來，手上抓的粉筆也捏斷瞭。他說，對不起，小姐。她嚮教授露齣甜甜的笑容，害他隻能咧著嘴笑。
我們不在意她坐進自已的位子是不是要花整天的時間，因為我們很享受眼前所看到的：金髮、藍眼、豊唇，加上讓人想入非非的胸部。後麵傳來她低語的聲音，對不起，接著傳來一陣騷動，那一排的學生站起來，讓她走到位置上。
我很想成為那些站起來的學生，讓她從身前經過，感覺她的接觸，以及她擦過我的身體的感覺。
下課後，她在我身邊停住腳步，一雙藍色的眼睛衝著我笑，她說，嗨，我叫麥珂。

評分原本是把这本书当成关于第一代移民的书来看的，更多关注的是文化宗教的冲突，但读完后发现其实并不尽然。这只是一个人的故事，每个人都是一段传奇，弗兰克讲出来了。我并不喜欢他苦大仇深地叙述着美国人有多不知足，爱尔兰人承受了多少的苦难，大多数人更愿意看到的还是苦难中...
