作者精通中文，奈何本书无论是观点还是论证都松散粗疏，像西方二流小报摘录，并无可观之处。可见有些青蛙无论走到哪里都带着自己的井。

评分前面都在讲为啥信了中国，还有他的中国忽悠局的存在阴谋论，最后一章讲美国该如何应对中国的崛起。
评分不得不說白邦瑞對某國政府的理解可謂是入木三分。某國行之千年的「權謀」之術在白邦瑞以《戰國策》為理論藍本的剖析下被淋漓盡致地展現在了美國大眾和美國政府的眼前。從另一方面亦能證明所謂的「帝制中國的歷史慣性」不僅在歷史學和文化研究上能發揮效用，在實際的國際關係問題的運用中也能揮灑自如。可以說是日後中國研究值得深耕的一個亮點。
评分看得脑瓜疼，满篇发牢骚的东西怎么指导政策的？？与理性主义相对的是反思主义，不是无理取闹。搞不懂为嘛这书美国人觉得好。
