著者简介

Pete Buttigieg, born in Indiana in 1982, is currently serving his second term as mayor of South Bend. A dynamic national lecturer and TEDx speaker, as well as a Rhodes Scholar and Navy veteran, Buttigieg was educated at Harvard and Oxford. He and his husband, Chasten Glezman, live in South Bend, Indiana.

工整的命题作文，有读简历的感觉。Buttigieg还是资历太浅了，哪怕对他的能力和理性有200%的信任（会说包括Arab在内至少六门语言诶！），但没有联邦层面的经验还是太大的短板。but again, no one seems to care these days

not very interesting book, 但他依然是我的英雄，indiana的移民家庭小孩，上了名校去了麦肯锡，参军，big name is short cut. understand business language, being a mayor, something funny 是他希望市长的symbolic工作外包出去。写道遇到他爱的人，想要visualize his darkness, think you're escaping and run into yourself longest way round is the shortest way home。看似平平常常，但是他让我看到了希望。

小皮市长年纪轻轻已经称得上经历丰富履历闪亮了最受触动的一处是他写到跳出咨询坑 When you are connected to an institution with that strong a name, people use it as a shortcut for understanding who you are. And if you're not careful, you use it as a shortcut, too, taking on the shape of that name yourself over time. 人不能够满足于学历与职场的品牌光环一路这么优秀的人还能有这样的认知值得共勉从日常市政到党内纲领都有发展向前的眼界希望他未来更有作为吧!
