邁剋爾・伍德是普林斯頓大學英語教授，《倫敦書評》《紐約書評》《紐約時報書評》等的專欄作者，主要撰寫電影和文學評論，有著作多部，代錶作有《電影中的美國》（哥倫比亞大學齣版社，1989）等。

評分顾钧的译文非常诚恳（等一等，这好象是孙甘露的句子），但是，我想不出别的词，唔，确实如此。 在译好多原文时，他的文笔甚至高于现在中国能找到的最好的版本。 譬如，在纳博科夫的《普宁》那段里，他译道： 你必须遗忘——因为想起那一幕会让你活不下去：那个优雅、纤弱、温柔...
