著者简介

Sally Rooney was born in 1991 and lives in Dublin. Her work has appeared in the New Yorker, Granta, The White Review, The Dublin Review, The Stinging Fly, Kevin Barry's Stonecutter and The Winter Page anthology. Her debut novel, Conversations with Friends, was the most popular debut in the 2017 end-of-year round-ups. Rooney was shortlisted for the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award for 'Mr Salary' and was the winner of the Sunday Times/PFD Young Writer of the Year Award.

这就是我的故事。前半段阅读被和好又疏离的互相虐待迷住，似乎对应着我自己对承诺的畏惧和在感情中的虚无。睡一觉起来感受又不同了，后半段更关注他们是如何去be normal，什么是正常的爱（友情、爱情和家庭）呢? sally rooney 火起来不是没有道理，终于有人来讲我们的生活了。喜欢她非线性的讲述方式，也很喜欢结尾，在两个人的人生刚刚开始的时候结局，他们注定又要分别再相聚，如此重复下去还有关于她Marxism.的立场也引来挺多关注的

考虑到这本书赢得了多少奖项，我感到不知所措。我读了她作为新人等成文坛大放光彩的那本Conversition with friends，那确实是一个几乎满足“现代”故事所有要求的完成度极高的小说：在相当平凡，却对个人非常有意义的事情上流利地向前推进，而不依赖制造外部紧张的硬核情节。她描述了关系变化的本质，以及作为一个有独立感觉的个体而产生的“孤立”，必然将你与他人分开。我喜欢她所有的主题，然而还是没能喜欢上她的书。午休时和同事站在书店里翻完了这本新书，在读书方面我其实很容易被燃起热情，可惜Sally两本声誉过人的书，可能都不会在我大脑里停留太久。

Marxist痴迷的阶级对比，Connell在小镇上万人迷，到了Dublin立刻被打回原型，十八线县城高考状元到了超一线大城市瞬间迷失的感觉，Marianne open-minded有钱人小地方受尽冷眼，到了大城市富人圈中如鱼得水。特别喜欢Sally Rooney对复杂心理的compartmentalization。
