评分还记得几年前第一次读Sedaris觉得他的幽默格外犀利，毕竟那时候还没读过David Foster Wallace，优秀的beach read，也挺适合在公园长凳上坐一下午一口气读完，算是两本fiction之间的palette cleanser吧！
评分这是我读/听的第三本David Sedaris (大卫.塞达里斯)的书，也是我认为最好听的一本，赛达里斯自己朗读。他的作品不知该怎么归类，维基百科认为他是散文作家，他的作品都是他自己的生活记录，他父母姐妹伴侣都在书里。我读他的第一本是Me Talk Pretty One Day，觉得他挺混的，但现在不这么看，尤其在听完这本书之后。我觉得他最显著的能力，是把生活中的琐碎事儿，我们每一个人都做的却从来没有注意到的事，用幽默，自嘲的方式讲出来；但讲出来并不是他的目的，他让我们看到芝麻蒜皮小事中的喜悦和悲怆。看/听他的书，我不时想到漫画作家Alison Bechdel的回忆录Fun Home，他们用不同的形式讲述同样的故事 -- 生命中的欢乐和悲哀。从这个意义上看，他的书并不浅。
