作者简介
Jhumpa Lahiri is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship. Her debut collection of stories, Interpreter of Maladies, was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, the PEN/Hemingway Award, and The New Yorker Debut of the Year. Her novel The Namesake was a New York Times Notable Book, a Los Angeles Times Book Prize finalist, and was selected as one of the best books of the year by many publications. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.

评分 评分刚开始是在学校看到有同学在阿里推打折网http://www.alitui.com/remai/买了这个版本，我翻了下质量蛮好的之后就开始迷恋了 之前在印度旅行的时候买了原版书Unaccustomed Earth，非常好的一本小说集。写出了印度第二代移民在中西方文化之间的游荡和碰撞，远离和回归。
评分移民文学究竟会走到什么境界？除了疏离、恐惧、遗憾，是不是有些东西被蒙在移民文学这个标签下缺少了更深层次的思索，只是因为不适所以更多的问题凸显了，比如爱情，比如失去，比如童年。从这个角度说，拉西里写什么样的故事是不重要的，即使是曲折反复的爱情故事，也看过太多...

in comparision with the meaningful title story,it's a pity that part two is a bit cliche,one might anticipate short stories are the writer's stronghold.
评分以后要是教英文系，一定会把这本书推荐给学生。作者很擅长用朴素平时的语言勾勒出人与人之间复杂微妙的情感。每个短片都有不同的叙事视角，每个细节都合情合理地安排在叙事结构中，不多不少，连贯一致。要搞英文创作，这是一本不错的范例。
