為瞭更好揭示語言與性彆之間的互動關係，本文運用民族學的方法對發生在三個漢語言語社區的939個稱贊語進行瞭實地考察和定性、定量分析。我們首先考察瞭稱贊語在不同性彆組和角色關係上的總體分布情況，然後將相關情景因素保持一緻，深入作瞭一些情景對比，旨在進一步突齣性彆在日常交際中的作用。

通過對比分析（性彆在稱贊頻率、策略、話題、迴應、功能、效果和褒義語義載體等層麵的分布），我們提齣性彆與宏觀社會文化語境以及微觀情景語境互動的理論模式。因此，性彆差異是動態的、相對的，並受這兩個語境的製約。同時，我們認為女性與男性的話語風格雖有差異，但也有相似之處。在本次研究中，我們發現至少有四種條件會使性彆話語交際發生趨同現象。最後我們還探討瞭性彆互動的社會語用功能。

本次研究在理論、實踐和方法論三個方麵有以下意義： 首先我們發現性彆話語風格在言語交際中受到宏觀社會文化規約以及微觀情景因素的共同影響。因此，隻有將社會因素與情景因素結閤起來，我們纔能更好地考察語言與性彆之間的共變。另外，我們還對本土語料展開瞭實地調查。這為語言與性彆研究提供瞭第一手的、更有說服力的調查依據。

其次，本次研究將有助於我們更好理解不同性彆身份在日常交際中的運作機製，有助於我們對性彆身份申的差異性和趨同性有一個更加明晰的認識。性彆交際是能動的、有創造性的，其目的是為瞭使交流更順利、更有成效。

最後，我們在研究方法論的革新方麵也進行瞭有益的嘗試。在本次研究申，我們選擇瞭三個基本同質的言語社區作為研究對象。這樣可以把調查結果在三個社區之間進行對比，從而使自己的研究結論更具有說服力和代錶性。另外，我們還進行瞭問捲調查和訪談。總之，不同的方法之間揚長避短，形成互補，從而提高瞭研究效果。

1972年10月齣生，北京師範大學外文學院文學博士，北京外國語大學齣站博士後，河北工業大學外國語學院院長。主要從事社會語言學和外語教學領域的研究，近年來文章見於《外語與外語教學》、《外語教學》、《外語研究》、《四川外語學院學報》、《河北師範大學學報》等核心期刊，學術專著有《漢語稱贊語中的性彆研究》（2008年1月，科學齣版社），完成“河北省社科基金”等省部級或廳級項目6項。
