具体描述
本书按照情报基础理论、情报历史、情报工作、情报失误、情报机构、情报控制、情报支援、情报教育与训练、情报改革与转型(包括情报战略)九大领域，选取或节录了美国官方和主要学术研究机构发表或出版的35篇(份)有代表性的文章、著作、报告和文件，各篇(份)之间既相对独立、自成一体，又相互联系、互为支撑，较为全面地反映了美国军事情报理论研究和实践工作的现状。
为了方便并引导受众阅读，我们为每篇文章都扼要编写了内容摘要，并附有数量不等的问答题和思考题。本书既可以为研治美国学、外国军事学、军队指挥学，尤其是军事情报学的专家学者、研究生、大学生提供一些很有价值的理论线索，也可以作为军事专业英语的补充阅读材料。
