著者簡介

邁剋•戴維斯（Mike Davis），1946年生，美國社會評論傢、城市理論傢、曆史學傢和政治活動傢，加州大學河濱分校創意寫作係教授。

譯者林鶴，1967年生，1985年就讀清華大學建築係，1993年獲建築曆史與理論碩士學位並留校任教，2002年因病去職，著有《西方20世紀彆墅二十講》（三聯書店2007年版），並有譯作多部。

unapologetically dense and academic and leftist with an overwhelming amount of factual details tinged with biases (also inaccurate apparently), but def enhances my understand of LA as the city where ethereal dreams take over reality and are pursued at all costs
