雖然是empirical study但是寫得還是很dense的。這本書裏swidler與眾多理論方嚮對話，也總結/批判瞭很多古典與當代文化社會學研究的視角（遠至韋伯，中及帕森斯和geertz，近指Sewell），在對文獻不太熟悉的情況下確實很多時候會很難engage。

理論貢獻明確，雖然有點炒她那篇Culture in Action的冷飯的嫌疑就當是對於那篇理論文章的empirical elaboration吧lol 但讀起來真的纍甚至還有點催眠。。。????
