Deep rooted, baroque animosity is the panacea to heal all 道德还是靠不住啊…；看了intro，chap1&2，有点像看故事，核心意思很简单，就是美利坚的宗教和道德总是处于revival的状态中，一开始的驱动力是很强的【自我】和【他人】的界限，几种对于puritan rigidity破坏的类型，Hutchinson的antinomian，Quaker（这两种都是从内部打破了puritan的秩序），对amerindian的屠杀（外部的敌人），最后是witch hunting（这种是最恐怖的，“魔鬼在我们中间”，外部的敌人隐匿在内部）；其他不太记得了，反正就是各种罪恶……
