Terence Gower is Canadian, but he lives and works between New York and Mexico City. Ciudad Moderna, which includes photography, painting and video stills from his eponymous short film, is his homage to Mexican modernist architecture, and to the alluring aesthetics of mid-century Latin America: in keeping with those aesthetics, it is designed after the glossy magazines of the era.
