謝柏軻（Jerome Silbergeld），美國著名中國藝術史學者。1974年於斯坦福大學獲得博士學位，現為普林斯頓大學藝術與考古學係榮休教授，曾任唐氏東亞藝術中心主任。在開始普林斯頓的教學生涯之前，他曾在華盛頓大學執教二十五年，擔任過藝術史係係主任、藝術學院院長等職。其研究對象包括中國繪畫、電影、建築與園林等，代錶著作有《中國畫之風格》《山水心靈》《電影中的中國》《身體的疑點》《由裏嚮外》等。

Westerners seeking to appreciate and understand Chinese art have long felt the need of a fundamental book that explains both the technical means used by Chinese artists and the traditional stylistic modes of artistic expression.
