前半部分讀著，有紀實文學的文筆特點，一度以為這篇連環殺手的故事是改編自真人真事。文風偏嚮紀實文學，也就難免在節奏的緊張上、案情的撲朔迷離上、懸念的抓人上，略遜一籌，讀著犯睏。直到後三分之一開始關注犯罪動機，以及構成這種動機的行為特徵、造成犯罪性格的追根溯源，也就開始越來越有意思。一個孩子的成長，他的父母、兄弟、朋友，以及成長過程中遇到的關鍵人，所發生的關鍵事件，都會對年輕的心靈成型造成影響。可能是正麵的，也可能是負麵的，可能是一時的，也可能是一世的，可能如水波輕點水暈散開也就靜瞭，也可能是波濤洶湧遲遲無法平息。研究犯罪行為，心理必不可少，心理背後成因的剖析，纔有利於從根源上杜絕犯罪、發現犯罪。
