是个奇人，希望他能找到自己的宁静。 作者的切入点很好，也能看出他和 Chris 有共鸣，不过尤其是最后一章让我发现了他作为一个作者的可怕之处，就是为了挖掘素材无数次打扰 Chris 和他的家人，在没有事先说明的情况下探监、一次次拜访。感觉这种死追不放的人应该不招 Chris 家人喜欢。

评分3.5/5 This is an fascinating portrait of an equally fascinating man Christ Knight, known as the North Pond Hermit in Central Maine. Finkel's words are succinct and reflective of his own ruminations on solitude, nature vs. nurture and the meaning of life. But somehow I wish the book dealt with the eremitic philosophy on life with more force.
评分在照顾病人和自己生病的情况下看完了。只觉得想按照自己的方式活着真不容易啊。
