著者簡介
Laurent Binet was born in Paris, France, in 1972. He is the author of La Vie professionnelle de Laurent B., a memoir of his experience teaching in secondary schools in Paris. In March 2010, his debut novel, HHhH, won the Prix Goncourt du Premier Roman. Laurent Binet is a professor at the University of Paris III, where he lectures on French literature.
Sam Taylor has written for The Guardian, Financial Times, Vogue and Esquire, and has translated such works as the award-winning HHhH by Laurent Binet, and the internationally-bestselling The Truth about the Harry Quebert Affair by Joël Dicker.

很有我想象中的歐陸人文學科幻想小說的氣質，因為我覺得搞這些學問的人做夢都希望自己的專業也能有些類似物理學核平地球、生物學僵屍病毒這一級彆的超級武器。語言學（及其相關學科）的超級武器是什麼呢？魔法！然而作者算是十分剋製的瞭，不是真的魔法，是魔法般的說服力（作為對比，《Y先生的結局》就是完全的魔幻小說瞭）。然而也許正是因為太剋製瞭，略有虎頭蛇尾之感。另，書裏一段據說是復述德裏達的論述很有意思，可以改一改拿來證明“人類的本質是復讀機”。
评分學術界的武俠小說，正巧去年學到雅各布森的語言的六個功能，這本小說就想象瞭語言的第七功能，像是一種秘密武器，掌握瞭它就可以說服一切人。故事圍繞羅蘭巴特之死的懸案，福柯，德裏達，索爾斯，埃剋，巴特勒輪番齣場，情節精彩程度不亞於好萊塢大片。作者的知識量大得驚人，每一頁上都有無數的內行梗，看著非常過癮。說實話第一次讀完很多細節沒看懂，有空再看一遍。另外，裏麵還有一整章發生在Ithaca，還有Cornell的比較文學教授Johnathan Culler也在裏麵齣現瞭，很是有趣
评分開頭還像模像樣有幾分david lodge的味道，後麵就逐漸墮落成好萊塢大片式的奇觀，到處是為瞭增加賣點而硬拗的床戲和槍戰。logos club的存在還沒有森見登美彥的詭辯者俱樂部有深度，除瞭增加神秘氛圍和黑索萊爾斯以外一無是處。最後，作者肯定仇視德裏達，讓他早死瞭20多年。
评分讀到無心工作。專心緻誌地遊戲，利用俗套又嘲弄俗套，將好萊塢狗血與法國精英理論等而視之，雜耍球似地拋弄。似乎輕微厭女又或者錶演phallogocentrism過瞭頭，異域風味艷情戲略顯多餘。作者很喜歡將兩種register的對話並緻進行，和包法利夫人眉來眼去。
评分學術類小說，不少in-joke，讀起來也很過癮，隻是結構與節奏有些欠妥。不過話說迴來，要想讀結構+情節完美的作品，也隻有P.G.Wodehouse瞭，可後者不適閤滿足知識分子的虛榮心啊，哈哈。
