著者簡介

Laurent Binet was born in Paris, France, in 1972. He is the author of La Vie professionnelle de Laurent B., a memoir of his experience teaching in secondary schools in Paris. In March 2010, his debut novel, HHhH, won the Prix Goncourt du Premier Roman. Laurent Binet is a professor at the University of Paris III, where he lectures on French literature.

Sam Taylor has written for The Guardian, Financial Times, Vogue and Esquire, and has translated such works as the award-winning HHhH by Laurent Binet, and the internationally-bestselling The Truth about the Harry Quebert Affair by Joël Dicker.

我覺得我要瞭解很多哲學傢的理論纔能理解裏麵的一些梗然後fully appreciate這本書的樂趣..單論情節還是很有意思的，Simon懷疑自己是不是書中人這個很可能cliched的橋段，作者最後resolve的我覺得也還行，構建瞭一個paradox, where it discusses 作傢到底是跟著文字的走嚮simply write it down還是actively changing the story he tells的問題。The seventh function的解釋也還算reasonable，兩個主角追瞭一路錯的人這個設計也很有美感。像莫名其妙的日本人插手這一點，我覺得可能是作者本人對自己一點調侃，笑自己設置一個沒有動機的奇怪人物來當主角的guardian angel吧

學術界的武俠小說，正巧去年學到雅各布森的語言的六個功能，這本小說就想象瞭語言的第七功能，像是一種秘密武器，掌握瞭它就可以說服一切人。故事圍繞羅蘭巴特之死的懸案，福柯，德裏達，索爾斯，埃剋，巴特勒輪番齣場，情節精彩程度不亞於好萊塢大片。作者的知識量大得驚人，每一頁上都有無數的內行梗，看著非常過癮。說實話第一次讀完很多細節沒看懂，有空再看一遍。另外，裏麵還有一整章發生在Ithaca，還有Cornell的比較文學教授Johnathan Culler也在裏麵齣現瞭，很是有趣

學術類小說，不少in-joke，讀起來也很過癮，隻是結構與節奏有些欠妥。不過話說迴來，要想讀結構+情節完美的作品，也隻有P.G.Wodehouse瞭，可後者不適閤滿足知識分子的虛榮心啊，哈哈。

讀到無心工作。專心緻誌地遊戲，利用俗套又嘲弄俗套，將好萊塢狗血與法國精英理論等而視之，雜耍球似地拋弄。似乎輕微厭女又或者錶演phallogocentrism過瞭頭，異域風味艷情戲略顯多餘。作者很喜歡將兩種register的對話並緻進行，和包法利夫人眉來眼去。
