This collection showcases Dostoyevsky's evolving outlook on man's fate. The compelling works presented here were written at distinct periods in the author's life, at decisive moments in his groping for a political philosophy and a religious answer.
Includes: Notes from Underground, White Nights, The Dreams of a Ridiculous Man, and selections from The House of the Dead.

The main character is sensitive, sickly proud, tormented, exaggerated and is full of imagination, just like me, you, and maybe everyone. Maybe it is the reason that Dostoyevsky never mentions his name in the book.
评分McAndrew的翻译。老陀真是神一样的人物,没看进去之前,我想放下书,看进去了,实在欲罢不能!有时候会觉得我就是他笔下那些啰嗦的疯子~
评分第一本全看完的英文小说。有纪念意义。

评分首先white nights真的很好看 不过那个姑娘也太不靠谱了虽然被别针困在奶奶旁边看上去很ridiculous; 然后notes from underground我从来没看过那么丰富的心理描写;the dreams of a ridiculous man有狗镇
