喜歡的部分包括，船長的小農生活，船長與醫生談論天文學傢Herschel兄妹，兩位醫生談論十九世紀初的醫學熱點問題，醫生在船甲闆上的顱骨手術，所有下等船員對話（很土很精彩），慶功宴上領導講話。海戰部分各種船隻如何操控還是看不太明白，慢慢來
評分Clonfert這個角色設計得實在是虐心……大概是為瞭錶示JA其實看人的本事還有待提高？不過在上一本幾乎沒有動作戲之後這本倒是加足瞭海戰的料。
