In the summer of 1965, teenaged cousins Grace, Dolly and Theo are on their grandparents’ farm dealing with the fact that their family has been broken apart by the Vietnam War. Dolly’s brother went to Vietnam a few months earlier, and Theo’s brother deserted to Canada. Now Grace’s brother Collin’s number is up, and he doesn’t believe in the war. Their dad has thrown him out of the house, and Grace doesn’t know who to believe is right. The idyllic summer days Grace is used to enjoying are now marred by uncertainty and tension. What will become of Collin? And what will be the repercussions if Grace goes to his aid?
