作者將一些時評攛掇在一起，就想解答一個為什麼自由比民主更重要的話題。各種素材從選取到安排，毫無邏輯可言，甚至往往令人瞠目。像拿他的導師亨廷頓的範兒，結果範兒有瞭，裏子一團亂絮。
评分狗屎。堅定完畢。風格像林達，可惜不是我母語，沒功夫浪費時間
评分前麵幾張盡是些政治學常識，但第六章很有sharp analysis，把美國社會民主化和商業化的弊端寫得太好瞭！有點《格調》的味道…… 結論（雖然作者很小心地政治正確瞭一把）是“窮國彆急著談民主（liberal authoritarianism更好？），富國要小心談民主（delegation的重要性；有一定獨立性的組織運轉和績效更佳，也更有利於人民福利）”——Cannot agree more!
