This book has been designed for anyone wishing to undertake a course in first aid, including: Level 1 - Essential 1st Aid, and Level 2 - Senior 1st Aid.
The level of first aid covered is also appropriate for emergency service personnel completing a Certificate II (or equivalent) in Public Safety or any other first aid training based on the new recently implemented Australian National Training Competencies.
· Addresses the new national competencies in first aid training as well as including the areas recently included in Certificate II in Public safety such as defibrillation, advanced resuscitation, spinal first aid and stabilisation.
· Divided into two sections: Part A provides National Training Competency approved first aid up to senior level; and Part B provides information for Certificate II in Public Safety.
· Each first aid response contains signs and symptoms followed by relevant treatment.
· Provides fundamentals and essential first aid information in a clear and uncluttered design format for easy reference by general consumers.
