BRILLIANT!!! Expectation/reality, madness/sanity, order/disorder... An polemic allegory that somehow manages to avoid sounding overly political/evangelical. Ahh I love the ending so much. Is the doctor perhaps the manifestation of the author himself? Does the fate of the villagers really depend on the doctor's nihilistic whims?

太難讀瞭我承認我英語不好（。

總覺得有點像美國南方哥特，福剋納，麥卡勒斯，奧康納，當然也可能其實是一場"北方"夢魘(不確定故事發生地在匈牙利的哪邊，霧雨濕冷的氛圍直覺像是北方)。倒是頭一次領略到長句子的魅力，心迷宮的蜿蜒幽僻，肢體動作的巨細靡遺，俱可以流水一樣席捲而下。結構骨架尤其贊。

一則抽象的預言關於時間/永恒/混亂/秩序人物和結構本身都成為瞭錶達的符號最後兩章最明顯醫生的字記錄員的字人物被概括進文字裏然而到底發生瞭什麼並不明瞭無盡的雨蛛絲鍾聲到底指嚮什麼氛圍的營造和心理描寫是動人的各種醜陋骯髒汙穢陰鬱絕望死亡充斥字裏行間
