這是第一版，第二版增加瞭5個工具。這書如果是一口氣讀完的，那基礎一般的學習者未必能完全消化吸收。第二遍甚至第三遍讀的時候，可以每周隻讀1到2個工具，然後反復用這兩個工具去審視自己寫的東西以及自己讀的東西。當然，就像作者說的，這些是 tools，而不是 rules。如果奉為真理而死扣作者提供的工具思路，怕是又走上瞭另一條寫作的邪路。
