评分一本導論，編寫盡心，雖用詞簡約，但解釋詳實，作者特拉吉爾是英國人，所以對於英語國傢的方言和社會情況介紹比較齣彩。因為是導論，涉及都是比較中立的事實闡述，隻是對於交際語言部分援引的例子比較過時。
