评分很黑暗很讽刺的短篇小说集合，像标题描述的一样总是有意想不到结局。是因为小时候大爱他的儿童读物 BFG, The witches, Matilda, 还有最著名的Charlie and the chocalate factory等等，所以才买来看的。他在作为著名的儿童作家之前是一个青少年作家，这本书是他那时候的精华，很喜欢但有时也挺毛骨悚然的~大爱ROALD DAHL 和他每本书后边的‘My candle burns at both ends it will not last the night. But ah my foes and oh my friends it gives a lovely light’
