拿个人的发展和文明的发展做了类比。指出两者都是爱欲和死欲的对抗纠缠，文明的发展是对本能的压抑；很多观点奇想式，特别是脚注里一些东西，看得我叹为观止，虽然不置可否，但很有意思。最后两章看得草率了，有时间再仔细读。
